Chido’s Mission
Chido wants to realize projects all over the world in order to enable people to free themselves from hunger and poverty by their own means.
By now Chido has taught several hundreds of people, among them women from India, orphans from Colombia, Tanzania, Cameroon, South Africa, the Congo and even students from the US, to cultivate mushrooms. She has shown them how to produce high quality edible mushrooms as a meat substitute for a rich and healthy nutrition, thus contributing to their self-supply.
In this moment, Chido Govera is working at a „Train the Trainer“-programme in order to reach many more orphans and other people in the world with her nutrition concept and bring hunger and poverty to an end. Only in 2011 she will share her knowledge with 2,500 persons and is starting to build up her own core team.
Chido is saving money in order to purchase a piece of land where she can build up her first orphanage – where children will learn to earn their own living and sell the surplus at the marketplace. This Future of Hope Center will also support orphans to overcome their sad experiences and to develop their hope for a better future. For Chido it is especially important that people do not become paralyzed within a role as a victim, but recognize and take their chances to make a more positive future for their own.
