"Simplifying" the art of growing mushrooms to produce a happy society, a healthier world and a future of hope.
These three components shape our vision, which is for us an equivalent to the three pillars of sustainability.
Mushrooms are healthy and offer high amounts of proteines to our body. In our modern society, they contribute to a balanced diet and can substitute meat consumption. In developing and emerging nations, mushrooms serve as a nutritional sustent, while the surplus can be sold at the marketplace and thus generate an income. Our mushrooms are delicious yet affordable. This is the social component of our vision.
We are passionate about our work, dedicated to high quality and doing our best every day. We believe we see (business) potential where others see only waste by learning from nature. We combine consumption with joy of living and pleasure. Our hearts are in the way our company is run.
Our business model works in big cities as well as in coffee plantations, in Asia, Europe, Africa and America. New companies emerge within the region, reinforcing local economies. Our production consumes almost no energy, a little water is sufficient to make the mushrooms grow. While mainstream cultivation uses hardwood as a substrate, cutting down forests, we use 'waste' and supply locally to reduce emissions. All of this is our contribution to a positive environmental impact.
